These are the spirits of defenders, of those have sworn themselves to something greater, even in death. A Knight's oath does not die with them. It follows them into the vessel. Their bearers' spaces are protected by them, from gusts of wind blowing out a candle about to fall, To an urge to re-check if you properly closed up for the night and the bravery needed if you haven’t.
